Jake Ryan Lee Robert Jake Ryan Lee Robert was an inspiration to everyone who knew him. This was especially true of his Dad, Steven Robert. Steven, a member of UCP’s Board of Directors, had been excited about the challenge of completing his first marathon in honor of Jake and in support of UCP of Orange County. Steven accomplished this enormous feat on Sunday, January 8th, at the OC Marathon, with the help and support of his family, friends, fellow board members, and the UCP family. As he completed his final 100 yards and crossed the finish line, he carried Jake with him in celebration. As Steven recalls, it was an incredible moment “Jake was so happy, laughing the whole way.” With the incredible highs that we all had on Sunday, there was great sorrow on Monday morning when we learned that Jake had passed away in his sleep Sunday night. Jake was 4 years old and had Cerebral Palsy. The news is absolutely devastating. The entire UCP family is heartbroken for Steven, his wife Alison and Jake’s three brothers, Tyler, Zachary and Brady. As you can imagine, there has been an outpouring of love for the Robert family. Steven and Alison have asked us to help establish a Jake Ryan Lee Robert Celebration Fund to benefit UCP of Orange County. As shared by Steven “I would love to funnel some of the love for Jake to benefit UCP - our children and families served.” The memorial service for Jake will be held Friday, January 13th, at 11:00 a.m. at Yorba Linda Presbyterian Church located at 19301 E. Yorba Linda Blvd, Yorba Linda, CA 92886.
